Yeah, I didn’t tackle the scenario you describe (which I agree is totally valid, and I prob. should have acknowledged) bc the person who sent in the question was clear that it was a matter of time issue, not a “there is no room for advancement” issue. But totally agree with what you wrote. It’s common and dishonest and ultimately doesn’t serve anyone well.
