Agree there is a big problem if this is happening all the time and you can find zero business reason as to how it also benefits you. I do think that employees sometimes don’t realize that who sends on an idea impacts how it is perceived…which is totally, totally unfair, and is one of the things I hate most about companies/hierarchy. But if that’s at play, and the big boss is likely to ignore the idea if it doesn’t come from a VP or director, then that VP or director should make sure to be give credit and show that they are backing/endorsing the idea
